SEO - Do You Rank and Is You Content Relevant?

Ah yes, the elusive SEO! For many, this is what they thrive on - adding keywords, ranking, backlinking, authority sites, etc. For others, it is the bane of their existence - confusion, heartache, frustration and bringing fear upon the mention of those 3 little letters
So What is SEO?
Per wikipedia: Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of affecting the visibility of a website or a web page in a search engine's "natural" or un-paid ("organic") search results. In general, the earlier (or higher ranked on the search results page), and more frequently a site appears in the search results list, the more visitors it will receive from the search engine's users. SEO may target different kinds of search, including image search, local search, video search, academic search,[1] news search and industry-specific vertical search engines.
Again, some of you just got real excited when you read that, others of you may have passed out. But, when you do wake up, read on, as I will try to give more explanation as to how you can Rank and Increase Your SEO Score.
SEO in Human Terms
I will recap in a minute, but here a few other things that I want you to keep in mind when it comes to SEO:
- SEO is definitely important and we are always trying to rank, but be sure to create your website or Blog for your audience, not just your website. All the keywords in the world don't mean a thing if you're not engaging and nobody wants to read your content
- The easiest way to get your SEO Rank higher is to get customers to trust you and believe in you and your products. Once they start following you, reading your Blog and commenting, this will begin to increase organically
- Always work to improve yourself. When people (and search engines) see that you are making improvements and staying consistent, the natural tendency is for your value to increase
Let's recap your SEO strategy:
1. Make sure you are relevant - this can be up to 70% of your SEO
2. You need Exposure and Back links to your website or Blog
3. Social News - once you are part of the social news world, you will begin to move up quicker
4..Connect with.Gov &.Edu - these Authority sites can provide great relevancy to your website or Blog but do NOT try and SPAM these sites, you will not be liked!
5. Article Marketing Robots - these wonderful little robots will search the web for your content. The more and more they see it, the more they will report home that you are relevant and worthy of moving up the ranks.

Bonus Tip: If you are not already familiar with it, start using the Google Keyword Tool. From here, you can search by word or phrase and/or website and/or category. Do some searching around and put in some different combinations and see what you come up with. Google does a great job of providing a long list of results and similar, so you should be able to come up with a phrase that will provide you with what we are searching for.
If this crazy world of SEO still has you confused, I invite you to join my team and I will show you how I have been able to move up in Google and and increase my SEO rank.
